Product Information

Mode of Action

Saflufenacil (HRAC Group 14) inhibits the protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO) enzyme, disrupting chlorophyll synthesis and cell membrane integrity in target plants. This inhibition causes rapid accumulation of reactive oxygen species, resulting in swift foliar necrosis and desiccation of susceptible broadleaf weeds.

Target Weeds
  • Amaranthus spp. (Pigweed / Palmer Amaranth)
  • Chenopodium album (Lambsquarters)
  • Parthenium hysterophorus
  • Conyza spp. (Fleabane / Horseweed)
  • Bidens pilosa
  • Ipomoea spp. (Morningglory)
  • Xanthium strumarium (Cocklebur)
  • Annual broadleaf weeds

Recommended Application Guidance

Crop / Area Target Weeds Dosage & Method of Application
Soybean, Maize, Wheat, Sugarcane, Fallow Land & Non-crop Areas Annual broadleaf weeds Apply as a pre-plant, pre-emergence, or early post-emergence spray at the recommended label dosage. Ensure thorough and uniform spray coverage for optimum weed control.
For specific g/ha dosage rates and local spray volume recommendations across registered crops and fallow sites, please refer to the registered product label or consult local agricultural extension specialists.

Application Instructions

1. Multi-Stage Application Timing
Apply as a pre-plant burn-down, pre-emergence soil treatment, or early post-emergence spray when broadleaf weeds are small and actively growing for optimum burndown efficiency.
2. Thorough Spray Coverage
Ensure complete and uniform spray coverage over weed foliage using calibrated boom sprayers. Thorough droplet coverage is essential to maximize the rapid contact burndown and residual efficacy of the PPO inhibitor.

Safety & Environmental Care

Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, face mask, protective suit) during handling, mixing, and application. Avoid spray drift onto non-target broadleaf crops and nearby aquatic habitats. Store in original sealed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location away from food, drink, and animal feed.
